Discovery Health

Ready for a month of rejuvenations, transformations and revelations? Join Discovery Health Channel every weeknight starting at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT and Saturdays and Sundays beginning at 12pm ET/ 9am PT, all beginning January 1.

One of the highlights of Makeover Month is the Canadian premiere of the new reality series The Gym. When it comes to people’s secrets, no one dishes more dirt than the personal trainers at The Gym. They’re hard bodied and sometimes hard headed. They try to solve their clients’ problems but have more than a few of their own. The trainers in this hot and sweaty series will have you hooked, Thursdays at 9pm ET/PT beginning January 4.

Makeover Month on Discovery Health Channel will also feature new programming from the “You” doctors, Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen, who count Oprah as one of the fans of their practical know-how for a long and healthy life. On other featured programs you’ll meet Clark Howard, who gives viewers the dollars and cents on raising a financially healthy family; Sara Snow, a connoisseur of living “green”; and relationship experts Dr. Ian Kerner and Shannon Fox who offer couples relationship makeovers.

“Discovery Health Channel understands that feeling better and looking great is on the minds of many Canadians. That’s why we’re once again dedicating an entire month of programming focusing on improving physical and emotional health and well being with Makeover Month in January,” says Jody Read, VP of Content. “The Gym is a guilty pleasure that will actually inspire people to work out, just not on Thursday nights.”
