From the daughters of world-renowned scientist and environmentalist David Suzuki and his wife Dr. Tara Cullis, comes AN EVENING WITH THE NEW CENTURIONS, an engaging 90-minute special about our global future and the steps needed to repair years of neglect. Premiering Saturday, April 17 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Discovery HD, new centurions and highly-accomplished environmentalists, Severn Cullis-Suzuki and Sarika Cullis-Suzuki, debate about our future with other generations and discuss their world – the one they’re taking over – and how they’re going to fix it.
How do you feel about the future of planet Earth? Are we taking the right actions to sustain the resources we’ve got? Can we make a difference that will impact global change? AN EVENING WITH THE NEW CENTURIONS asks questions, entertains and enlightens as today’s youth prove their allegiance to matters “green” and introduce environmental solutions to reverse the destructive trends affecting our planet. It’s their world now and we’re about to become spectators!
This special features a series of compelling interviews with leaders in the eco-field and awards presentations to nine of this generation’s most important contributors. Among the presenters are Stefanie Powers, Sandy Duncan, Alan Thicke, Thea Andrews, Susan Clarke, and two young stars from DEGRASSI: THE NEXT GENERATION, Evan Williams and Sarah Barrable-Tishauer.
