(Canadian Premiere) Sept. 6 at 10pm ET/PT Infertility is a modern epidemic affecting one-fifth of couples, worldwide. Hospital (Canadian Premiere) Sept. 8 at 10pm ET/PT Hospital chronicles life at the world-renowned Duke University Medical Center.Featuring the personal stories of patients who persevere in the face of difficult –and often life-threatening – situations, each episode also sheds light on the dedicated healthcare professionals who help them. Human Nature (Broadcast Premiere) Nov. 2004 Each hour of this series is dedicated to laughter, tears, pain and pleasure – four of the most universal human responses – and their connection to the brain. Combining individual profiles and interviews with researchers and scientists, Human Nature gives viewers valuable insight into how these responses are intimately tied to our sensations, feelings, emotions and passions. Second Opinion with Dr. Oz (Canadian Premiere) Sept. 6 at 9pm ET/PT New York City’s celebrated heart surgeon Dr. Mehmet Oz opens viewers’ eyes to the inner workings of their bodies and empowers them to take control of their health and lives. Known for combining ancient and modern medical techniques, Dr. Oz identifies lifestyle issues that impact overall health. Ten Years Younger (Canadian Premiere) Sept. 16 at 9pm ET/PT Follow five residents from Miami, Florida who are attempting to lose 10 years in 10 weeks. Can these age-busters survive detox, an exercise regime, radical skin and face treatments and various rejuvenation techniques to clear their minds and bodies? Find out in this five-part series as these participants take on the challenge to look and feel younger. Trauma Team* (Canadian Premiere) Winter 2005 This series examines the drama of daily life in the ER. Tracking a wide range of trauma cases that come through the hospital doors of St. Michael’s Hospital and Sunnybrook & Women’s College Hospital in Toronto, viewers will see some of Canada’s best emergency medical teams fight to save lives against often formidable odds.

Filmmaker Cynthia Banks chronicles her struggle with post-traumatic stress disorder following the birth of her daughter and how the condition blurs the line between past and present, mother and daughter, ally and perpetrator. Thirst For Life (Broadcast Premiere) Spring 2005 What is it that allows the French to thrive despite their notoriously high consumption of wine and fatty foods? In this one-hour documentary, Canadian food personality and wine enthusiast Bob Blumer travels from the vegetable gardens of California to the vineyards of Bordeaux, exploring and examining the health mystery known as the "French Paradox." Transplant Tourism (Network Premiere) Nov. 2004 This one-hour documentary is an in-depth examination of the many Canadians who grapple with the life-and-death decision to shop for a kidney. Profiling the kidney selling trade in the Philippines and Turkey, Transplant Tourism exposes the global black market for human organs.
RETURNING SERIES Health on the Line with Avery Haines Oct. 18 at 6pm ET
Returning for a fourth season, this Gemini Award-winning series with host Avery Haines focuses on a different health-related subject in each one-hour episode. Guests include people struggling with their health and the medical professionals who are involved in their diagnoses and treatments. Medical Hotseat Spring 2005 Avery Haines moderates this weekly debate among doctors, policy analysts and medical experts regarding topical health issues affecting Canadians. Oh Baby! Sept. 7 at 9pm ET/PT This three-part series returns for a second season to take an in-depth look at an infant’s ability to feel, belong and relate. In each episode, visit state-of-the-art laboratories where extraordinary experiments and research reveal new information about the way in which infants learn to be emotional, social and imaginative human beings. Sex, Toys & Chocolate Feb. 2005 Season two of this series brings girls and guys together to discuss relationships and sex. Co-hosted by Robin Milhausen, a sex-educator and teacher at Indiana University, home of the world-renowned Kinsey Institute, and Michael Cho, a "life-connoisseur," the series breaks down the gender barriers and sets the stage for honest, open, no-holds-barred discussions. With topics ranging from onenight stands and first-date etiquette, to sex with the boss and swinging, the brave guests in each episode reveal "real" stories, opinions and confessions through frank talk and ice-breaking games. Field expert and roaming correspondent Roy Roman will also give a weekly report from his home base of Miami Beach. The Surgeons Nov. 2004 Each new episode in season three of this Gemini-nominated series profiles a doctor performing specialized surgery such as robotic cardiac surgery, deep brain stimulation, bone reconstruction surgery and neonatal surgery.
