Posted on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 - 11:13 AM
Cogeco Cable

Cogeco Cable is now extending the High Definition (HD) offering to the wide majority of its Ontario interconnected systems. In April, Cogeco Cable have already deployed HD television services to Burlington/Oakville, Parry Sound, Huntsville, Lindsay, Belleville and upgraded areas of Hamilton and Halton systems. Effective this week, customers in the remaining Cogeco systems of Hamilton and Halton, Cobourg, Brockville, Leamington, Kingston, Windsor, Peterborough, North Bay, Chatham, Sarnia/Wollesburg, Grimbsy, Fergus, Gavenhurst, Cornwall and Niagara Falls/St.Catharines now have access to the HD television experience.

Overall, 94% of the Cogeco Cable Ontario footprint has access to HDTV. Up to 12 channels, including the most popular American and Canadian networks and pay and specialty channels are now available to customers and the offer will be enriched with new HDTV local and specialty channels as they become available.

"Interest in HD is building and this is becoming a more important and sought after feature by our customers," commented Ron Perrotta, Cogeco Cable's Vice-President, Marketing and Sales.

Québec customers will gain access to HD service in the coming months.
