Sports Programming: The Masters broadcast on Global

Global announced today that it will again provide Canadian golf fans with comprehensive tee-to-tee coverage during the final two rounds of the 2011 Masters Tournament. Global’s Masters broadcast will take place Saturday, April 9th from 2:30pm until 7:00pm ET and Sunday, April 10 from 1:00pm until 7:00pm ET (see below for additional airtimes). Plus this year Global will add to its already extensive coverage with its first-ever live, pre-game special from the grounds of this storied golf course.

Sports Programming: TSN Becomes Official Broadcaster of MLS in Canada with Landmark Six-Year Deal

TSN and Major League Soccer (MLS) announced today they have reached a six-year broadcast rights agreement making TSN the official broadcaster of MLS in Canada. The national broadcast agreement begins this year and runs through to the 2016 season. It’s the latest major acquisition for TSN, following the acquisitions earlier this month of the broadcast rights to EURO 2012 and 2016, along with the Tour de France. In addition to its partnership with MLS, TSN has long-term national partnerships in place with virtually all North American professional sporting leagues including the NHL, CFL, NFL, MLB and NBA.
