| Production news: Family Channel and Disney Junior Canada Commission New Episodes of Four Canadian Original Productions |

Astral's Family Channel and Disney Junior today announced they have ordered new episodes of four Canadian original productions for the 2011/2012 season. Family Channel has ordered second seasons of the live-action comedies Really Me and What's Up, Warthogs!, from Fresh TV and Dolphin Entertainment/Aircraft Productions respectively, as well as a third season of Temple Street Productions' Wingin'It. Disney Junior has commissioned a second season of the new animated series Justin Time from Guru Studio, for both the English and French language Disney Junior networks. All four series will begin production in Toronto later this summer.

| Ratings: DOCTOR WHO is #1 Show in SPACE History |

The season finale of DOCTOR WHO captured hearts, minds and viewers on Saturday night, winning its timeslot and boosting the series to become the most-watched in the history of SPACE, among total viewers. With the season now wrapped, The Doctor and his time-travelling TARDIS drew an average audience of 495,000 total viewers for Season 6A to set the new record. The episode, “A Man Goes To War”, was #1 among adult viewers (18-49 and 25-54) across all specialty television networks for the night.

MuchMusic announced today additional presenters for the biggest party of the year, the 2011 MUCHMUSIC VIDEO AWARDS. Golden Globe® winner Colin Farrell, Godfather of Rap Snoop Dogg, sassy starlets Cassie Scerbo (MAKE IT OR BREAK IT) and Kat Graham (VAMPIRE DIARIES), along with brooding hearthrob Munro Chambers (DEGRASSI) are set to take to the MMVAs stage on June 19. Snoop Dogg will perform on the MMVAs stage. Also announced today as presenters are surfer stud Trevor Donovan (90210), singer Karl Wolf, Canadian rockers The Midway State, Foster the People and MMVAs nominees Alyssa Reid, Danny Fernandes, Neverest, and David Guetta. The night gets started with the 2011 MMVAs RED CARPET SPECIAL on Sunday, June 19 at 8 p.m. ET, followed by the main show at 9 p.m. ET. Viewers in the U.S. can watch a simulcast on Fuse.
