Superheroes and domesticated animals alike will face their greatest foes in three TELETOON Presents films this month. Viewers can watch as cats face off against dogs in the TELETOON premiere of Cats & Dogs, then it’s Superman versus Lex Luthor in 1978’s Superman, and finally the Dark Knight has an epic encounter with the Joker in the animated film Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker.
Also this month, the extended summer Laugh Riot lineup continues, new episodes of Stoked air every Sunday and new episodes of Batman: the Brave and the Bold continue in Action Force.
July 31 – August 6
A top secret, centuries-old battle for world domination comes to a head on Saturday August 1at 7pm ET/PT, when Cats & Dogs premieres on TELETOON. Featuring the voices of Toby McGuire, Alec Baldwin and Jeff Goldblum, the film combines live action, animation and puppetry to envision a world in which cats and dogs are waging war right under the noses of unsuspecting humans. Families have another chance to catch the film on Sunday August 2 at 11 am ET/PT.
The extended Laugh Riot lineup, featuring episodes of popular TELETOON titles like Wayside, Chowder and Johnny Test all day long, continues from 7 am to 4 pm ET/PT every weekday this August. In George of the Jungle on Tuesday, August 4 at 11: 45 am ET/PT, Ursula throws George his first-ever birthday party.
August 7 – August 13
In an all-new episode of Stoked on Sunday August 9 at 7 pm ET/PT, a surfing misadventure leaves Fin and Reef stranded on a desert island with nothing to do but get to know each other better. Back at the resort, Lo’s latest scheme to get back into her father’s good books goes awry when she is distracted by a handsome surfer.
Christopher Reeve is Clark Kent in Superman on Sunday August 9 at 11 am ET/PT. Also starring Marlon Brando and Gene Hackman, the 1978 film explores Clark Kent’s transformation into Superman, from his beginnings on the planet Krypton to his childhood in Smallville and finally to his double life in Metropolis.
August 14 – August 20
New episodes continue in Action Force this August. In Batman: the Brave and the Bold on Sunday, August 16 at 9 am ET/PT, Paul Reubens stars as Bat-Mite, Batman's biggest fan, who causes trouble when he tries to help Batman become a better hero. In Wolverine and the X-Men at 10 am ET/PT, after a government crackdown on mutants, Angel resorts to desperate measures to protect his fellow mutants and himself.
On Sunday August 16 at 11 am ET/PT, Superman II is the TELETOON Presents movie. Superman and Lois Lane’s budding romance is put on hold when three outlaws from Krypton attempt to take over the world in this 1980 sequel to Superman. Gene Hackman and Christopher Reeve reprise the roles of Lex Luthor and Clark Kent.
August 21 – August 27
In Superfan Friday on August 21, viewers can catch a new episode of Justice League at 8:30 pm ET/PT. In the episode, the Justice League is blasted into an alternate reality where they meet the Justice Guild of America, a group of old-fashioned comic book heroes.
40 years in the future, an aging Bruce Wayne is no longer physically able to fight crime and has been replaced by a new Batman, a young man named Terry McGinnis. In Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, Terry and Bruce must contend with the return of the Joker, Batman’s greatest enemy. This 2001 animated film featuring Mark Hamill and Angie Harmon is the TELETOON Presents movie on Sunday August 23 at 11 am ET/PT.
On Sunday, August 30 at 11 am ET/PT an alien invasion is imminent and Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Giant Man, Wasp and the Incredible Hulk must reunite to save humanity in Ultimate Avengers 2.
