Phil Kessel Makes His Leafs Debut on Rogers SportsNet Ontario Programming Highlights / Sportsnets Posted by RAD on Nov 02, 2009 - 05:49 PM The unveiling of Phil Kessel in a Toronto Maple Leafs uniform will take place on Rogers Sportsnet Ontario and Sportsnet Ontario HD when they face the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday, November 3 at 7 p.m. (ET). Hockeycentral Leafs Edition featuring host Daren Millard, former NHL Coach and GM Doug MacLean and former Leafs executive Bill Watters will preview the match-up and provide analysis throughout the broadcast, including the intermissions and immediately following the game. Joe Bowen has the play-by-play call while former National Hockey League goaltender Greg Millen handles the analysis. Paul Hendrick rounds-out the broadcast crew as the in-game reporter for Molson Canadian Leafs Hockey on Sportsnet Ontario. Kessel was acquired back in September from the Boston Bruins for first and second round picks in 2010 and a 2011 first round pick. The native of Madison, Wisconsin scored a career-high 36 goals last season and was a recipient of the Bill Masterson Trophy in 2007. Leafs defenceman Tomas Kaberle was just named the NHL’s first star of the week. On Toronto’s recent road-trip last week, Kaberle registered 12 points in four games and currently leads all NHL defencemen in scoring with 17 points. Leafs goalie Jonas Gustavsson has allowed just two goals in his lone regular-season appearance at the Air Canada Centre this year.
