Cutting Edge (Broadcast Premiere) – October 2002

Meet Canadian scientists who have made great strides in medical research in this four-part documentary series. All world leaders in their fields, featured research scientists include a prominent stem cell researcher in Montreal, an expert in Retinoblastoma research from Toronto, and a Vancouver-based geneticist.



Animals for Health (Broadcast Premiere) – Winter 2003

Maybe it’s not only dogs who are humans’ best friends. In the 13-part series Animals for Health, watch how special animals help treat human health conditions. Episodes feature horses used in therapy for children afflicted with spina bifida, llamas assisting autistic people, and domestic pets helping prison inmates to develop nurturing skills.



The Surgeons (Season II) – January 2003
Each episode of this returning 13-part series profiles a different doctor, performing a different specialized surgery. In the second season, cameras follow surgeons from across Canada around the hospital, through patient consultations and into the O.R. to capture the intense challenges, personal triumphs and inspirational stories of these medical miracle workers.
