Returning to Discovery Channel for a much-anticipated second season, GOLD RUSH 2 follows six down-on-their luck men, facing economic meltdown, as they risk everything in an attempt to strike it rich in the wilderness of Alaska. Premiering Tuesday, November 8 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, the new season catches up with Todd Hoffman as he leads this group of inexperienced miners – with only one rookie season under their belts – back to the mine they’ve leased at Porcupine Creek to finish what they started. With 16 new episodes, Season 2 follows the men as they face new challenges and hardship, away from their families, with the backdrop of Alaska’s breathtaking vistas around them.

Celebrating 16 incredible seasons as DAILY PLANET’S original co-host, Ingram steps down with a fun-filled and retrospective special, DAILY PLANET: JAY’S LAST SHOW, on Sunday, June 5 at 7 p.m. ET/PT. In December, Ingram announced that he would be leaving his full-time hosting duties at the end of the 2010-2011 season to pursue new opportunities within the Discovery family (announcements detailing these future projects will follow at a later date).
